The Astronomy Club was founded in late spring 2003 with the financial support of the Student Council and a grant from the Arkansas Space Grant Consortium. We currently have a pair of astronomical binoculars, A small 4" Orion 102AZ refractor, A solarscope and a pair of solar binoculars. We also have a Meade LXD 8" Schmidt-Cassegrain reflecting scope. In addition we have CCD imaging capability and laptop viewing available.
With the help of the Arkansas Space Grant Consortium, Cabot Junior High North Astronomy Club has recently acquired a 10" Dobsonian that provides awesome views of deep space objects.
